Falkner published in 1837 is the last novel by Mary Shelleyand as we see from her letter she had been passing through a period of ill-health and depression while writing it this may account for less spontaneity in the style which is decidedly more stilted but here again we feel that we are admitted to some of the circle which Mary had encountered in the stirring times of her life and there is undoubted imagination with some fine descriptive pass...Seguir leyendo
